Lakeshore November 2012

Lakeshore was fun because we learned a lot about god and we had free time. I played with my fiends and went to the lake and there was a lot of algae. It was funny when we went to sleep I had about 8 hours of sleep total because it was so loud. We learn that god can be your BFF.

5th Grade Trip to Huntsville

In Huntsville I learned that air is a force and how to make a rocket. He showed us the different kinds of fuels. There is liquid, solid, chemical reaction. That metal there is some kind of metal that does not burn unless over 30,000 degrees and keeps the inside room temperature. I also learned that moon rock costs over $100.000 more than a diamond and the moon rock could be really small. The Apollo 13 never got to the moon because an oxygen tank blew up. The landings of the pods were always landed in water. The Mercury project was the first project up to the moon. I thought it was the Gemini project but that was the second. The Mercury project took one person to space. The Gemini took two people to space. The Apollo was the third and it took three people to space. I didn't know that the Russians were the first into space but we were the first on the moon. Dave Scott was the driver of the plane that Neil Armstrong was on. He was the one that had to stay in the ship.

Getting our Pumpkins

Today we we went to the pumpkin patch and we played. We got on this truck and we went to the pumpkin patch and our whole family picked out little small pumpkins not even 6 inches tall. We picked it out and we were riding on the truck we saw Christmas trees growing. Next, we picked out our big pumpkins and they were tremendous. I carried it all the way back to the car which was very far. We left and now we are drawing faces on our little pumpkins.

First day of 5th grade at PDS

My first day of school was awesome. I loved Mrs. Trefz's class; we did a challenge. The challenge was that you had to get a gummy worm in a gummy life preserver with out touching the worm or the life preserver. In reading we did a thing called three facts and a fib. You write three facts and one fib and then your class had to guess what your fib was. We had instrumental music and we got to play the guitar. For lunch we had chicken Alfredo and I ate some salad. For math I did a star math quiz and I think I did really well. In science we had to write things on sticky notes and I got to hold a crested gecko in my hand. It crawled on my shirt, and it was funny. Overall my first day of school was magnificent.

Beach

Today we went on the boat in the bay. The boat had a slide and a place that you could jump off the top. I didn't have to wear a life jacket; it was 10 and older. We went on the tube and when my dad and I went, the tube started to rip and the whole thing ripped off so we fell. We never got to get on the tube again today. For lunch we ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. We found about 350 sand dollars lying in the sand near the beach house. We went crab hunting and found...ZERO crabs but a lot of crab holes.

My Trip to Honduras

This summer I went to Honduras with my dad. I had a lot of fun on the trip. We served and learned about their culture. I would go back any day and I was glad I went. When I looked at the dump in Honduras I felt thankful about what I have. We played with the house home kids a lot. They were fun to play with. They food was very very good. I had a really good time. The plane rides were fun; the plane to Honduras had miniature TVs.
